# About HOODLOOT

## Rob the block. Share the wealth.

HoodLoot is an onchain heist on **Robinhood Chain**. Every block drops fresh **$SHARE** — your band of outlaws is there to take it.

You recruit the Merry Men, deploy them in your hideout deep in Sherwood, and they loot the chain around the clock — roughly ten blocks a second, whether you're watching or not. You claim the take whenever you want.

No hardware. No hashing. No noise. Just **Loot Rate**, blocks, and a fixed **21,000,000 $SHARE** — 95% mined through play, 5% minted once at genesis to seed a locked liquidity pool. No presale. No VC. No team salary reserve.

## How it works

**1. Claim a hideout.** Everyone starts in the Forest Hollow. Your first outlaw comes free.

**2. Recruit outlaws.** Spend $SHARE to add Merry Men to your band. **75% of every spend is burned** — *given to the poor* — so the loot only gets scarcer as the band grows.

**3. Deploy them to mine.** Staked outlaws loot every block. Recruiting mints an outlaw to your wallet; deploying stakes it onto a hideout tile — only deployed outlaws earn.

**4. Climb.** From a barefoot peasant with a bad bow to Robin Hood himself with a golden arrow. Upgrade your hideout for room to grow. *(Legend ranks — a permanent multiplier for prestiging your run — are coming soon.)*

## Key elements

<table><thead><tr><th width="200">Element</th><th>Description</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>🏹 <strong>Merry Men</strong></td><td>Your outlaws — each with a Loot Rate (LR), an Upkeep draw (U), and a $SHARE price. Thirteen recruits, from the free Ragged Peasant to Robin Hood, the Golden Arrow.</td></tr><tr><td>🌲 <strong>Hideouts</strong></td><td>Your base. Nine tiers from the Forest Hollow to the Sherwood Throne — each grants more outlaw slots and a higher upkeep cap.</td></tr><tr><td>💰 <strong>Block loot</strong></td><td>$SHARE emitted every Robinhood Chain block, split by your share of the global Loot Rate. Accrues automatically — claim whenever.</td></tr><tr><td>🕊️ <strong>Given to the poor</strong></td><td>75% of every $SHARE spent is burned at the contract level. It never comes back.</td></tr><tr><td>⭐ <strong>Legend ranks</strong> <em>(coming soon)</em></td><td>Prestige your run for a permanent Loot Rate multiplier. Revealed at launch.</td></tr><tr><td>🔗 <strong>Referrals</strong></td><td>Share your address. Anyone who joins through it earns you 2.5% of their loot — every block.</td></tr></tbody></table>

## Why it holds up

* **Fixed 21M supply.** Hardcoded. No lever mints more — `mint` itself is capped.
* **95% player-mined.** The only allocation is a disclosed 5% genesis mint that seeds a locked liquidity pool. No presale, no VC, no insider bags.
* **Deflationary by design.** 75% of everything spent is burned.
* **Credibly un-ruggable.** Emission and every price are immutable. The only owner control is an emergency pause — it can't change a number, mint, or touch your funds, and you can always pull your outlaws back to your wallet.

## Why Robinhood Chain

The pun is the thesis. **$SHARE** is both a *share* and *sharing the wealth* — and Robinhood Chain is the natural home for it: an EVM Layer-2 with ETH gas, \~100ms blocks, and Uniswap + Chainlink from day one. Fast blocks make the per-block loot loop feel arcade-instant; full EVM compatibility means any standard wallet just works.

*Steal from the rich block. Share it with the chain.*

{% hint style="warning" %}
HoodLoot is a game. $SHARE is an in-game token with no promise of value or return. Play for the loot, not the ladder. Nothing here is financial advice. See the [Disclaimer](/reference/disclaimer.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.hoodloot.com/about.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
